Honey-Sweetened Spooky Popcorn Balls

🍿Ingredients:

• 10 cups popped popcorn (air-popped or stovetop)
• 1/2 cup honey
• 1/4 cup unsalted butter
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/4 cup mini marshmallows
• Mini chocolate chips or candy eyes for decoration

🎃Instructions:

1. Prepare the popcorn: Pop the popcorn using your preferred method (air-popped or stovetop) and transfer it to a large bowl, removing any unpopped kernels. Set aside.

2. Make the honey mixture: In a medium saucepan, combine the honey, butter, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the butter is melted and the mixture starts to bubble, about 3-4 minutes.

3. Add vanilla and marshmallows: Once the honey mixture is bubbling, remove it from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract. If you want extra sweetness and stickiness, stir in the mini marshmallows until they melt and combine with the mixture.

4. Coat the popcorn: Immediately pour the honey mixture over the popcorn, tossing to coat the popcorn evenly. Be sure to work quickly as the mixture will start to cool and harden.

5. Form the popcorn balls & get creative: Lightly grease your hands with butter or oil to prevent sticking. Once the popcorn has cooled slightly but is still warm, form the mixture into 12 balls by pressing small handfuls of popcorn together. Get creative and use mini chocolate chips or candy eyes to create ghost faces. Press them into the popcorn balls to form eyes and mouths! See the photos below for inspiration.
