Honey Spritz
Refreshing, light, and naturally sweet, this honey spritzer is the perfect drink for warm afternoons or casual get-togethers. With just a few simple ingredients, it delivers a crisp balance of bubbly fizz and floral honey flavor!
🌸Ingredients
For the honey simple syrup:
- 1 tablespoon Champlain Valley honey
- ¼ cup water
For the cocktail:
- 1 tablespoon honey simple syrup
- 2 mint sprigs
- Lime wheels
- 3 tablespoons elderflower liqueur
- ¼ cup chilled Prosecco
- ¼ cup chilled club soda
- Edible flowers for garnish
🍹Instructions
1. Make the honey simple syrup: Stir together the honey and water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook until the honey dissolves, about 1 to 2 minutes. Set aside to cool.
2. Make the cocktail: Combine 1 tablespoon of the simple syrup, the leaves of 1 mint sprig, and 1 lime wheel in a jar or glass. Muddle the mixture to release the oils from the mint and the juice from the lime. Add the elderflower liqueur.
3. To Serve: Pour the mixture into an ice-filled glass, straining if desired. Top with Prosecco and club soda. Garnish with mint, lime wheels, and edible flowers. Serve immediately.
💡Pro Tip: Make a double-batch of the simple syrup and keep it in the fridge. It’s perfect for adding a little sweetness to iced tea!
