
DIY Honey Hand Balm
Winter is in full force up in Vermont and you know what that means: crackled, scaly hands and itchy skin. Luckily, Mother Nature has beautiful solutions for us! Try out our honey hand balm recipe, scented with your choice of essential oils.

Ingredients
½ cup coconut oil
¼ cup almond oil
5 tbsp (or 2.5 oz) beeswax
1 tbsp shea butter
1½ tbsp Champlain Valley Apiaries Honey
10–20 drops of lavender essential oil (or your favorite)
8-ounce glass jar, or several small tins with lids (you can reuse the glass jars our 8 oz honey come in!)
Directions
- Combine all ingredients, except the honey and essential oils, into a microwave-safe bowl.
- Heat in 30-second intervals for two minutes, or until all ingredients have melted.
- Mix in the honey and essential oils and immediately pour into the jar.
- Let cool to room temperature. To adjust the texture, melt the balm again and add either more beeswax or more essential oils!
