DIY Beeswax Hand Salve
As the weather turns cooler and the air gets drier, one thing becomes clear: our hands need a little extra love. Whether you're out stacking firewood, tending animals, or just washing your hands more often during cold season, dry, cracked skin can sneak up fast.
Thankfully, nature has already given us the perfect solution—beeswax.
This month, we’re sharing one of our favorite ways to put our beeswax to good use: a nourishing DIY hand salve that protects and soothes even the roughest hands—all with just a few natural ingredients.
🌼 Why Beeswax?
Beeswax isn’t just a byproduct of beekeeping—it’s an incredibly versatile, skin-loving ingredient that creates a protective barrier on the skin without clogging pores. It locks in moisture, helps soothe irritation, and works beautifully alongside oils and butters to nourish deeply.
Paired with ingredients like coconut oil, shea butter, and essential oils, it’s the foundation of an amazing all-natural hand salve that’s easy to make at home.

Pour and set:
Carefully pour the mixture into tins or small glass jars. Let them cool and solidify at room temperature (this usually takes 1–2 hours). -
Label and store:
Once cooled, label your salves and store in a cool, dry place. They’ll keep for several months—and make wonderful gifts!
