Easy Apple Honey Pastry

Enjoy this viral apple honey pastry recipe! Quick and simple, it's the perfect treat for a winter afternoon. Add some shredded sharp cheddar on top for a Vermont twist! 🌟

Ingredients

  • Champlain Valley Apiaries liquid honey
  • 1.5 sticks unsalted butter, cut into 1 tablespoon pats (plus 2 tablespoons melted)
  • Cinnamon and sugar mixture
  • 1 apple, cored and thinly sliced
  • Pillsbury Crescent Dough Sheet
  • Vermont sharp cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Sliced almonds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Dollop 6 big spoonfuls of honey onto the paper making sure they do not touch. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top (optional).
  4. Place two tablespoons of butter directly onto each honey dollop.
  5. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture.
  6. Lay 3-4 apple slices onto each stack.
  7. Lay one Pillsbury Crescent Dough Sheet over each stack, making sure to completely cover.
  8. Brush the top with melted butter.
  9. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove when golden brown.
  10. Place cutting board or second baking sheet on top. Flip over to remove pastries from sheet. Peel off parchment paper.
  11. Sprinkle with sharp cheddar cheese (optional) and enjoy!
