
Easy Apple Honey Pastry

Ingredients
- Champlain Valley Apiaries liquid honey
- 1.5 sticks unsalted butter, cut into 1 tablespoon pats (plus 2 tablespoons melted)
- Cinnamon and sugar mixture
- 1 apple, cored and thinly sliced
- Pillsbury Crescent Dough Sheet
- Vermont sharp cheddar cheese (optional)
- Sliced almonds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Dollop 6 big spoonfuls of honey onto the paper making sure they do not touch. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top (optional).
- Place two tablespoons of butter directly onto each honey dollop.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture.
- Lay 3-4 apple slices onto each stack.
- Lay one Pillsbury Crescent Dough Sheet over each stack, making sure to completely cover.
- Brush the top with melted butter.
- Bake for 20 minutes. Remove when golden brown.
- Place cutting board or second baking sheet on top. Flip over to remove pastries from sheet. Peel off parchment paper.
- Sprinkle with sharp cheddar cheese (optional) and enjoy!
