Vermont Beekeepers Association

The Vermont Beekeepers Association (VBA) has been in existence since 1886, promoting the welfare of Vermont's Honey Industry and its beekeepers. Champlain Valley Apiaries has worked closely with the VBA since the beginning of our company in 1931. In fact, all three generations of Mraz's, Charles, Bill, and Chas, have served as VBA president.

The National Honey Board is a promotional group educating consumers on the benefits of using honey and honey products. Their site is full of information, including recipes, nutritional information, and much more.

Charles Mraz was a founding member of the American Apitherapy Society (AAS). Since its inception in 1989, the AAS has had a mission to educate the public and health care community, about both the traditional and scientifically valid uses of Apitherapy. Champlain Valley Apiaries continues to promote Apitherapy, and the memory of Charles, by collecting honey bees to be used in this practice.
